Run for Office

Step into Run For Office, a free-to-play game inspired by Richard Omoniyi-Shoyoola’s campaign for alderperson of Chicago’s 2nd Ward.

As you explore the island, you’ll travel through environments modeled after real neighborhoods and landmarks across the ward. Along the way, you’ll encounter a variety of imaginative “monsters.” While playful in design, each one represents a real-world challenge facing our city. For example:

  • Red Tape Mummies represent the bureaucratic barriers that slow down housing development and make it harder to build the homes we need.

  • Inequality Scales reflect the growing issue of wealth inequality and the imbalance it creates in opportunity and access.

  • And many more! Each threat is tied to the issues this campaign focuses on addressing.

We hope you enjoy exploring Chicago Island!
